Pastel painter & pastel portraits

Presentation of my galleries: pastel portraits, red chalk portraits, oil paintings and pastel landscapes

Living in Normandy for around ten years, in Rouen, you will not be surprised that my subjects of inspiration reflect our Norman landscapes, seasides, ports, flowers… I cannot help diversifying the subjects, having It’s hard to stick to series, as there are so many sources of inspiration!

I respond to orders for pastel portraits from photos, or red chalk (in France).

In 2020, I joined the Frenchpleinairpainters association for the greatest pleasure of these shared moments!

In parallel with my artistic activity, being a computer engineer by training, I work as a webmaster in France, creating websites with an emphasis on natural referencing (SEO).

Having trained as a computer engineer, I worked for 15 years in information systems in Paris. After moving to Rouen, I made a professional change as a freelance Webmaster in ROUEN and SEO consultant (natural referencing techniques).

In addition to this activity as a webmaster, part of my time is devoted to painting or pastel, in my personal workshop at home, or in association.

Drawing has always been a passion (neighborhood workshops, drawing workshops at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, etc.) since my childhood, in a family where painting is part of our life: my grandfather was a painter during all his free time, my father has studied in the ‘Beaux-Arts’ in Paris…

I have been practicing oil painting since 1997 and have followed courses for 7 years at the “Ateliers de l’Etoile” in Paris, with a hight quality of teaching (copies of masters for the basics, old painting technique…). https://atelierdeletoile.org/

I discovered dry pastel at the beginning of 2015: a real revelation, even a passion! This medium is perfect for me. It combines drawing and colors and allows me to create faster.

Particularly enjoying drawing, I focused on making portraits of children, particularly in pastel, but also red chalk  portraits.
